The man with the golden voice’. Met de band Ace zong hij in 1974 How Long wereldwijd naar de eerste plaats, in de decennia daarna evenaarde Carrack dit succes in Mike + The Mechanics met monumentale nummers als Silent Running en The Living Years. Ook solo scoorde hij hits: I Need You, Don’t Shed A Tear en Dedicated.
