Cloud Cukkoo

On, off. On, off. It’s 2am on a Tuesday and you’re crying on the dance floor. Not that anyone’s noticing: the ever-present fog machine and the assault of neon from the run-down LED lights are more than willing to help you hide in plain sight. You order a drink and forget what you’ve ordered five seconds later. The night goes on; the night stands still. On, off. On, off.At least you’re not alone. Eye contact is made with the silhouettes around you. Truly getting lost requires talent, but you’re a natural. You want to disappear into the night, as silently as possible, blazing through the atmosphere. You want the euphoria to numb you out. You’re dancing and wondering how your friends are doing before deciding against sending them a text. The night goes on; the night stands still. On, off. On, off. Tomorrow, there’s another tomorrow.Cloud Cukkoo writes, produces and performs songs for blue-tinted nights. Nights of rained upon ashtrays and repressed melancholia; nights that are blinding, deafening and paralyzing; nights that are as comforting as they are disconcerting. It’s the cutting winter cold that feels like an embrace after spending hours in an overloaded club. Immerse yourself in reverb-drenched guitars and synthesizers, danceable depression and fiery vocals. Cloud Cukkoo is for the dreamers who can’t fall asleep.
