Simuze

Data attribution

Where the venue and map data on Simuze comes from, and who to thank for it.

OpenStreetMap

Part of the venue information on Simuze, such as names, addresses, coordinates and websites, comes from OpenStreetMap. That data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0).

Venue pages that use OpenStreetMap data say so and link back to this page. We use that data to make a page for a venue so bands can find the room and list their shows there. When we fix a name, add a capacity or fill in a website, the venue data we publish stays available under the same licence.

A venue page made this way does not mean the venue has joined Simuze. It says so on the page until someone who runs the venue claims it.

Maps

Our maps are drawn from vector tiles by OpenFreeMap, based on OpenMapTiles, with map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Venue agendas

Some shows on Simuze are read from a venue's own website. Those shows always name the venue, say which website they came from and link to the venue's own page for that show. The description and image are the venue's own and are removed thirty days after the show. Simuze does not sell tickets for them. You can read how that works on the SimuzeBot page.

Logos and photos

Venue pages that Simuze made can show the venue's logo and a photo. Photos from Wikimedia Commons are credited on the venue page with the photographer and the licence, and a changed version stays under that licence. Logos and images from a venue's own website are only used to show that venue and its shows. If you run the venue and want an image changed or removed, claim the page or send us a message.

Something wrong?

If a venue page has the wrong address, the venue has closed or a website is missing, use the report link on that page and we will look at it. If you run the venue, you can claim the page and keep it right yourself.
